Incredible blue chip wines from a prestigious Oakville collection. Impeccably cellared.
1978 DRC Richebourg Grand Cru from this lot has the following scores - CellarTracker 95 points, The Wine Advocate 94 points. This is the tasting note for 1978 DRC Richebourg Grand Cru from Robert Parker - The 1978 Richebourg reveals a medium ruby color, with a blossoming, still unevolved and youthful bouquet of sweet black fruits, minerals, smoke, soy sauce, and spices. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with plenty of concentration, good acidity, firm tannins, and a rich, long finish. Amazingly, it has still not reached full maturity. This wine should turn out to be profound.
