The collector’s passion for wine began in the early 1990s through a focus on food pairings, evolving into an extensive study of wine history and regular travels throughout the premier growing regions of Italy, France, Napa, and Sonoma. She completed the International Sommelier Guild Wine Fundamentals Level 1 and Level 2 certificates in 2002. Discerning the critical importance of temperature and humidity control, she initially kept her collection in a standalone wine cooler before transferring it to a custom, professionally built basement wine cellar constructed during a 2006 home renovation. She acquired all of her high-end allocations from The Wine Cellar in Edmonton and has meticulously maintained them in this pristine, climate-controlled environment ever since.

This is the tasting note for 2001 Domaine de la Romanee Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru from Robert Parker - Mouth-watering aromas of blackberries and spices can be found in the nose of the ruby-colored 2001 Grands-Echezeaux.
