A Vancouver-based cellar who began collecting when Rauzan Segla and Bonnes Mares were accessible for under $10. The collector began dedicating any little bit of extra money he had to buying wine, primarily Bordeaux and Burgundy, and he never stopped. Nearly everything was purchased directly on release, from trusted retailers in BC, Alberta, Washington, California, and New York. Initially storing everything in a climate controlled home cellar, he expanded into professional storage some years ago. It recently became obvious that he had acquired far more wine that he could consume, and Iron Gate is delighted to work with this client to bring this collection to auction.
2004 Domaine des Heritiers Louis Jadot Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru from this lot has the following scores - BurgHound.com 93 points, CellarTracker 91 points. This is the tasting note for 2004 Domaine des Heritiers Louis Jadot Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru from Allen Meadows - A background touch of pain grillé highlights green apple and spiced pear aromas that precede massively rich, intense and sleekly muscled full-bodied flavors that display almost painfully pungent minerality and a strikingly punchy finish. This isn't quite as classy as the very best in the range but this is a huge wine that retains near perfect balance. I've had some genuinely great vintages of this appellation chez Jadot and the 2004 could challenge them. *Don't Miss!*.
