All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. This collector started his cellar during University in his early 20's while working retail for an Ontario winery. Initially he was drawn to the wines of Italy, but over time began to focus on French wines, especially Burgundy. He has always had a great appreciation for white wine, particularly for the wines of Chablis, Loire, Austria and Germany. Generally he purchased wines from the LCBO and directly from agents (keeping track of all invoices and probably have digital or paper copies for everything).The wines were stored at home, in temperature controlled, specially built wine cellars.

This is the tasting note for 2008 Louis Roederer Cristal Brut Millesime Champagne from Robert Parker - with a score of 98 points. Disgorged in September 2017 with 7.5 grams per liter dosage, the 2008 Cristal was produced from 37 of the 45 parcels that are candidates for inclusion in this cuvée—some 40% of which were farmed organically back in 2008—and it's a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The finest young Cristal in decades, the wine wafts from the glass with a pure and vibrant bouquet of crisp orchard fruit, clear honey, warm brioche, citrus zest and white flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, intense and incisive, with superb concentration, racy acids and a long, searingly chalky finish. Pristinely balanced, there are some 500,000 bottles of this legend-in-the-making.
