All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.
Since 2009, this consignor has been a collector of wine, which played a significant role in family dinners and events throughout his childhood. This early exposure inspired him to take wine courses as he grew older. He acquired bottles from the LCBO, SAQ, and auctions, often integrating wine into his travels. Initially, he stored his collection at Fine Wine Reserve before moving it to his home cellar. The crown jewels of his collection are the DRCs, which he won in the LCBO lottery.
Producer notes - The Bourgogne Blanc 2011 from Comte de Vogue is showing beautifully. In the bouquet lovely pure and crisp white fruit – with notes of acacia flower, pear and a quite intense citrus infused minerality. On the palate quite rich fruit supported by a crisp acidity and the slightly edgy but filigree minerality of the big Musigny terroir. The harmonious and fruity vintage really suits the powerful terroir – producing a lovely crisp mineral driven wine – with a lovely pure fruit supported and balanced perfectly by the discrete oak. Has improwed significantly over the last vintages as the vines gets older … and is now not that far from the grand cru status. A beautiful glass of white Burgundy.
