The wines in this collection are from the cellar of a prominent Burgundy collector. He purchased most on release, and they have been kept under ideal conditions in professional storage.
The rating for 2012 Domaine du Comte Liger Belair Vosne Romanee Clos du Chateau Monopole is 92 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - The 2012 Vosne-Romanee Clos du Chateau had been bottled in late September as Louis-Michel wanted to keep the freshness. The 0.83-hectare clos lies within the village itself, just above from La Colombiere. It has a refined bouquet, very focused with subtle forest floor notes infusing the vibrant red and black fruit, before offering a touch of dried rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with superb focus and harmony. This is utterly seductive, gliding across the mouth, seamless and feminine. This is probably one of the finest Clos du Chateau that I have tasted from the domaine.
