All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. Property of a private Ontario collector. He established his collection in 2020, initially inspired by the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Rhône Valley. The bottles were primarily sourced through the LCBO and Iron Gate Auctions, with select additions from Zyn in Alberta. The collection was stored at Dymon Wine Cellar prior to moving Iron Gate's climate-controlled facility.

This is the tasting note for 2012 F E Trimbach Riesling Clos Sainte Hune Alsace from Robert Parker - The 2012 Riesling Clos Ste Hune is deep, generous, precise and salty with a typical nose reminiscent of limestone. Dense and very salty on the palate, this is a powerful yet elegant, round and complex Clos Sainte Hune with enormous mineral expression, which lends energy, class, vibration and tension to the sheer power. It was bottled with six grams per liter of residual sugar. Tasted from the magnum at the Auberge de l'Ill in November 2024.
