All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. An Ontario-based consignor who has carefully monitored and maintained his wine collection. He has a deep appreciation for Bordeaux but holds a special love for California wines, spending considerable time in Napa. He sourced his bottles from the LCBO, SAQ and some Alberta wine retailers, and directly from California wineries. All bottles were stored in immaculate conditions in his Eurocave wine cabinets, which are both temperature and humidity controlled.

This is the tasting note for 2013 Colgin Cellars Cariad Napa Valley from Robert Parker - with a score of 100. The 2013 Cariad Proprietary Red Wine, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot, shows great intensity, with a slightly more burning ember and scorched earthiness to it, giving it a more Graves-like character compared to the purity of the Tychson Hill. The wine is full-bodied, rich, layered and possibly slightly more tannic and backward than the Tychson Hill, but that could be because it had recently been bottled. It should evolve over the course of 30+ years..
