All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. A Calgary based consignor who credits his fascination of fine wine to his father and some friends who are sommeliers. He began to collect wine to age and became more focused on certain regions after a trip through Tuscany, Southern Rhone, Champagne and Burgundy. His bottles were procured through the LCBO, various retailers in Alberta and through Iron Gate auctions and have been stored in a temperature-controlled home wine cellar at a consistent 54F.
2014 Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques Premier Cru has following scores - The Wine Advocate 97, BurgHound.com 96, Decanter 96 , Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 96. 2014 Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques Premier Cru has the score of 97 from Robert Parker and the tasting note -Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Rousseau's 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint Jacques has a very refined and delineated bouquet with prudent use of new oak here that is seamlessly integrated and allows the vibrant red fruit to flourish. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, very good tension and a welcome dash of spice toward the finish that conveys genuine substance and class. The aftertaste is incredibly long—the mouth tingling with residual spiciness long after the wine has departed. This is stunning and, dare I suggest, equal to Rousseau's Chambertin and Clos de Bèze.
