A consignor who began collecting wine in 1980, inspired by a close friend who introduced him to the world of wine. His passion grew quickly, and over time, his collection expanded to 3,500 bottles. All wines were sourced directly on release from the LCBO, with many acquired through the Bordeaux Futures program. Most remain in sealed original wood cases bearing LCBO labels and his name, ensuring excellent provenance and condition. From the start, all bottles were stored in a temperature- and humidity-controlled walk-in cellar at home, with some later transferred to professional storage at IronGate, where the consigned wines are currently held. His collection focuses on Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Italian wines, collected for enjoyment rather than investment.

It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and was aged in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud French oak barrels for 18 months. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a wonderfully perfumed nose of potpourri, baking spices and dusty soil over a core of crème de cassis, blueberry pie and flamboyant Indian spices. Full-bodied, super firm with super ripe tannins and lovely freshness, it delivers layer upon layer of black fruit preserves and exotic spices, finishing long and beautifully poised. Give it a good 3-5 years in bottle to really strut its stuff and drink it over the next 30+ years. 219 cases were made.
