All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. A Toronto-based collector whose passion in wine ignited while dining frequently in the city's restaurants. He then married a woman from France and spent extended periods travelling around the country, tasting wines from all the top regions. All the wines except the magnum of port were bought directly from local importers or the LCBO. Everything was stored from purchase at the Vintage Conservatory in Toronto.
The score for 2019 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Genevrieres Premier Cru is 96-98 from Vinous and the tasting note - The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a wondrous, life-affirming bouquet that asserts its authority and class over the other Premier Crus. No disrespect, but they just do not convey the same enthralling degree of mineralité and tension on the nose, by some margin. The palate is supremely well balanced with great penetration and outstanding nerve and mineralité toward the finish. Hints of stem ginger and white pepper tantalize on the aftertaste. Superb.
