All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.
The collector is from Cambridge ON where a multi-generational spirits collection grew from parents and grandparents who instilled the love of tasting and sharing whisky to the seller. A particular love for rare blends and single malts from Speyside. The spirits have been sourced throughout North America. The collection has been stored at home, away from light, keeping all bottles kept upright.
Johnnie Walker 'King George Edition' celebrates the first Royal Warrant granted to John Walker and Sons Ltd to supply Scotch whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934. The blend is produced according to the same techniques used during the reign of King George V and features only whiskies from distilleries operating during that era, including single malt from such prestigious distilleries including the silent distillery Port Ellen. Luxuriously packaged in a crystal decanter with a gold stopper.
Producer Notes=Nose- Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you. It’s followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs and cinnamon. Taste- Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla. They release layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts. Finish- Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish.
